Christmas Celebration

We invite you to join us for an opportunity to celebrate Christmas together as a community. Here is a quick look at what will be happening...
- Our ABC Kids have prepared a special performance.
- There will be a surprise Santa Claus appearance at the end. This is a secret we want you as parents to know about, but want the kids to be surprised. Immediately following the gathering there will be an opportunity for you to take pictures of your children with Santa Claus.
- Pastor Jarret will give a brief talk as a conclusion to the four-week series called “Gifts You Won’t Find Under the Tree.” He has talked about peace, acceptance, and forgiveness. Come and help us “unwrap” mystery gift #4.
- We offer a program for your children from birth through 2 for this special celebration. Also the 3-6 year olds and grade 2 to 5 classes will have a Christmas party after the kids perform. All children in attendance that morning will be invited to join them for snacks and fun. On a regular basis we offer full programs for ages birth to 2, 3-6 year olds, and grade 2 to 5. This is designed to give our children an opportunity to learn about values that apply to their daily lives.
We encourage you to come dressed as you feel comfortable. Most people will dress casual, but if you wish to dress up for Christmas you will feel comfortable too.

Christmas Eve Barn Gathering

Being a new church that does not have our own facilities we are forced into having to get creative with some of our times of worship. Who would have thought that the school not being available would lead us to celebrating Christmas Eve kind of like it really was. A cold barn (really cave), and a community coming together to remember that first Christmas... I hope you will join us.
**Please park in the Zion United Church parking lot that is slightly northwest of the barn.
Things you will want to know:
- This gathering will last between 40 and 45 minutes. Due to the cold temperatures, and the fact that people have other family gatherings to attend, we try to keep our time together as brief as possible.
- We will sing a few Christmas carols and spend a few minutes reflecting on the meaning of Christmas and why we celebrate.
- It’s cold (I know that was an easy one right!). We have limited power, so the barn is not heated, so you will want to have jackets, gloves, hats, etc. Don’t forget your long johns!
- Dress Casual. We will be sitting on bales of hay.
- Bring a flash light. You may need it on the walk back to your car, or to see in lowly lit areas of the barn.
- We will be serving Starbucks hot chocolate to you upon arrival.

As a way to close out the Christmas season and prepare to launch into a new year we would like to invite you to join us for FREE ice skating. This is one last chance for us to connect and spend time together in 2008. We hope to see you there.
